come on how can any of you expect a delicious brownie recipe to be good and healthy for you?? It's a delicious treat that one can indulge in once in awhile!

These brownies are soooo good! I bake alot and have tried many recipes but this one is the best so far...why are people even looking at this recipe if they're just gunna say its to fattening? if you want something healthy dont look at this recipe, besides as long as workout an extra 20 minutes and eat these brownies in moderation you'll be fine! This is the best brownie recipe so far! :-)

Well said marciamellow06! And from someone whose made them! Who'd wanna eat a healthy brownie? ... they don't taste the same! Really, if you want a healthy treat go have an apple or something. If you don't mind the extra 15 minutes added to your workout then Have Fun! As for me ... I'm no health nut, gimme one of these suckers and I'll eat it. To make the rest of you "health crazed" cringe ... I won't even work out! I'll let it sit and enjoy the feeling that I let myself take a break and ate outside the box ... literally, as opposed to being too worried about a couple extra pounds. I say ENJOY!

For even more chocolate, cover the batter with hershey bars, then add another layer of batter on the top. When they cool, there is a nice layer in the middle almost like fudge. Yummy!

Please Wanda Winchester, that's like giving your kids chocolate cake for breakfast just because, "healthy ingredients!" You can eat a brownie even if you are watching your weight just make sure you don't go over board with them! --Yes I half way agree I suppose... Burn them off later I agree but it still is hard to eat a brownie and still stay at a healthy weight because foods like brownies make you crave more of that type of food and yes, you do have to watch the fat in them. For instance if you're watching calories like I am and you had a brownie that is 600 calories alone then that's two meals gone! You want to seperate your calories evenly. Azfar I really have nothing to say about your comment I love brownies I'm just watching out for myself and my body. I'm not saying brownies are bad for you I'm just saying they'll only make you crave more.

I'm on Weight Watchers and have lost 33 lbs. If I wanted to indulge in something decadent and rich, these brownies would be it! Everything in life (not only food) in moderation is acceptable, healthy and sensible. I say dig in, enjoy them, and share them with good friends.................

Sounds great to me. I would love to try them. I am going to make some this weekend. The kids will eat them like crazy. I guess 3 sticks of butter is a lot but I bet the brownies are super moist and good.

Did you notice that these are 3x4 INCH brownies? That is one big brownie! I would cut them in 2x1.5 inch pieces and have 60 brownies, which would make a much more managable fat and calorie intake per serving.

Okay if you were looking for healthy why are you looking at this brownie anyway? Go back and eat your cardboard food! My goodness get over it!!! Eat these and enjoy! They sound wonderful. Life is too short not enjoy something good once in awhile.

I live in Australia and found it very difficult to understand this recipe. This is not a criticism just a comment. If the same recipe was from Australia I imagine the Americans would have trouble understanding it. lol

I find this so funny, she didn't say I am giving you a healthy, low fat, etc. brownie, she said a chocolaty, chewy, fudgey, brownie, for goodness sake.1st of all it's a brownie, chocolate, hello. 2nd homemade is ALWAYS better, for you and tasting. Mixes are fine for in a pinch, but give me homemade any day. I also agree if you want healthy why are ya lookin at a brownie recipe anyways? Just enjoy.

Maybe who ever doesn't agree on the above recipe should find one better suited for their tastes and needs. But...what would a lowfat brownie taste like???? CARDBOARD maybe??? After all the article is in regards to the WRITERS favorite brownie recipe hence the title "MY FAVORITE BROWNIE RECIPE". If you don't like it don't make it, or substitute like previously mentioned, or just find another recipe better suited to you.

I'm on weight watchers... one of these brownies would be my entire day's worth of "points"!!! However, they do sound good enough to be a splurge.... followed by a trip to the gym.

Why is everyone complaining about the fat content... They're brownies... not CRACK. They're supposed to be fattening. It's probably why its the best brownie recipie ever. I think it sounds awesome.
