Smart Balancehas the best tasting Peanut Butter that is better for you. Tastes natural and fresh with less sugar, less salt and most importantly less fat.

It must be nice to have a job where you get paid to analyze something as trivial and a peanut and jelly sandwich. Good lord, don't you have anything at all more productive to do with your time..........and Jif and Peter Pan peanut butter rock!

The very BEST peanut butter and jelly sandwich is made with 2 slices of your favorite bread (mine is Aunt Millie's whole grain lite at 35 calories each slice). I toast it to make it firmer. Using about 1-1/2 tbsp. Krema all natural crunchy peanut butter on 1 slice and 1 tbsp. Smucker's SugarFree Cherry Jam... my pb&j craving is satisfied! It is delicious, good for you, and even good for your diet.

We eat wholewheat and rye at our house for everythng but PB&J sandwiches. White bread and lots of Jiff PB with Smuckers strawberry, rasberry or grape jam or jelly is the ticket at our house. The thicker the PB the better. We like it so it almost chokes us. Homemade jam is the king with Jiff PB.

It seems like they really only tested various peanut butters. This would have been better if they tried out different kinds of bread and jam or jelly as well!

I prefer apricot preserves as my jelly of choice, and have found that Kroger store brand has the best, beats Smucker's easily in taste. There's a much stronger apricot flavor in the Kroger brand.

One of the most relevant topics for the times and one of the most healthful things you can pack in a lunch -- considering the protein level and low fat. I would not discount whole grains or grainy breads. I think the taste of white would be great, but just for the added nutritional points I would go with any kind of grain bread.
Toasted bread works if the slices appear weak to begin with.
Another nutritional plus is honey instead of jam although it's more expensive.
But anyway, beats the power lunches and frozen meals regarding lunch at work because pb&j sandwiches are inexpensive.

Try putting the bread slathered with peanut butter in the broiler until crispy on top. Then put on the jelly. No need for bread on top. Really goood. Bon Appitite.

White bread, lots of SUPER CRUNCHY peanut butter and Strawberry Jam or Preserves are what makes up my PBJs.
To each his own PBJ!
Toasted bread makes a great breakfast PBJ too.
