Give the guy a break! I was an 80's/90's kid and he's right. Everything on that list was the rage, along with some others, like Fresca (Sprite-like soda, which also caused cancer in lab rats), Jello Pudding pops, Nerds, Fruit by the foot and gushers I think came along later, because Fruit Roll-Ups were all I can remember there being as far as "fake" fruit snacks go, Yoo-hoo chocolate drink, Chocolate Soldiers (also a fake chocolate drink), Laffy Taffy, etc. I miss the old days, seeing Bill Cosby advertising the Jello Pudding Pops, now it's condoms and anti-smoking commercials :(

"where the sleek can made waifish girls"? If I may suggest a small bit of friendly advice, have someone else look over your article before submitting, it helps to get rid of the mistakes you don't catch. I've just been noticing a LOT of errors like this lately in lists like these and also the important news articles. The best solution would be to have someone who could proof-read them before they are sent out because the spell-checker won't catch the correctly spelled wrong words or even the lack of a word (which happened in a murder article a few weeks ago). Just a thought. :)
As for the list, I remember all of those things in the 80s and into the 90s (I was born in 84, so it all blurs together for me). I never figured out how you ate a Mega-Jawbreaker. Lick it, I guess? I didn't have Tab, instead I had Faygo cola and its assortment of flavors (strictly a Michigan thing). I still love cool ranch doritos, capri sun, and fruit by the foot. I must say they weren't healthy at all, but then the 80's were all about fitness gear such as swimsuits and leg-warmers but not actually eating properly! XD

Capri Sun? Nope. That was definitely more of an early/mid '90s thing. In the '80s, our school lunchboxes were stuffed with little boxes of Hi-C "fruit" drinks.

Slim Jim! ohhh yeahhhh. I think I had them in my lunch more because my mom liked them and would get a whole bunch on sale. That and fruit roll-ups. My favorite ice cream truck treat...Rocket pops! Blue raspberry, lemon, and cherry popsicle. Somehow they don't taste as good now ... maybe a 5yo's brain responds differently to them hahahaah

You eat equal and tab, so they are food. These are popular food items from the 80's highlighted in an amusing article. It's not a Shakepearian remake, Kozmik. Ripping on things just to cause a stir when you have nothing to add makes you look as pretentious as that beret. Intteresting article; I agree that pudding pops needed a mention!

Ok so ya new post old article... Pop Rocks Love 'em but the last time i had some they weren't the same as they were when i was little. Faygo Awesome but too bad they don't sell it where i live now. Soda Pop Candy (wax shaped bottles with "soda" inside) And I remember when i was little going to the 711 and buying this carton of eggs... not really eggs... they were shaped like eggs but it was gum or something.. i think they called them "robin's eggs" but they weren't the malt candy's you buy for easter. Clearly Canadian also one of my favs...and the Jell-O pudding pops were tricky to eat without getting your tongue stuck to them but awesome non the less. They still sell cool ranch doritos and I occasionally eat them... OMG!!! I miss this stuff thanks for the memories!!!

Some tragic food disappearances from the 70's: Kellogg's Danish-go-Rounds and General Mills Fortified Oat Flakes cereal. How about Bubble-eze Bubble gum that came in a little egg crate?

Epsilon Xi Deephers should do some fact checking. White Castle has been around, at least in Chicago, since the '50s. And they're still the best cure in existence for a hangover.
