who is this person? I would love a bathing suit, food, tickets to the big game-heck yeah! CDs & DVDs, absolutely! Gift certificate-um why not?! Homemade coupons-cute! If my guy goes out of the way and gets anything on that list--it's a plus!

Ok fine, I'll go along with the list for her; I just won't give her anything at all. I would never date a girl who is spoiled or stuck up like that btw, and I also suprised about "how a swift kick to the guy's nuts never made it on the list" for him.

Wow, why don't you both just forget it? Because no one will every be happy with whatever they recieve. And I agree with Hello kitty, sounds like the rants of a teenager, and a snobby one too!

this article is the worst thing i have ever read. I would love too get ticket to see a football game.Just because it's supposed to be romatic doesn't mean everyone like a girly girl.

I agree, some of the gifts are not taboo on my list-I'd love CD's if he knows my tastes in music. I'm not into mp3's, my tastes tend to be eclectic, I have a small but decent collection of CD's. Chocolate,,, as long as it isn't the so called *healthy* chocolate with any kind of soy in it. Soy doesn't agree with me. As long is there's no soy, etc. I'm fine

You generalize WAAAAAY too much. I wouldn't mind it if my boyfriend bought me games, a game system or a DVD box set.
1) It's the thought that counts.
2) There ARE such people as GAMER GIRLS. I know, I am one.

Need a good Valentines Day recipe? My gf bought me this cookbook called "Get in the Kitchen, BIT@HES!" ( [profane]cooks.com) and now whenever she comes over, she says "What's for dinner, BIT@H!?" or "Get in the Kitchen, and make me some food, BIT@H!"... Yeah.. that is getting old, so for V-day I am going to wear the apron on the front of the website, make her the dish called "Bend Me Over, Beef" and shove it up her butt.. how do you like them apples sweetie??

Ok, so what not to give - but what to give? It seems like the most appropriate thing to give is sex..
is this what you are trying to push across? Are sure this isn't a guy writing this article???

When you find your soulmate everyday should be Valentines Day, not just the one day of the year. Showing how much you love the other person is different for everyone and true and lasting love doesn't have a price tag. If you are truly in love it doesnt matter whether their love is shown by something that is bought, made, or comes straight from their lips in the form of a kiss. I believe that when you are given a gift, regardless of what it is, it is the other persons way of showing they care. Just remember thought had to be put into it to some extent, and the fact that they took the time should show they love you. If you get upset than maybe materialistic things are more important to you than true love.

In reference to: "8. Tickets to the "big game." Hate to break it to you, but when she said she loved football, she was lying. Save the sports stuff for your buddies."
Ummmmmm dumbass, football is done before Valentine's Day. AND fyi, many women would think that gift rocks.

i think valentines day is the most overrated holiday ever, and as for the list of things not to get a woman, and maybe i am an rare exception- doubt it, i would love, toys, a vaccumm, tickets to the big game or a something home backed or homemade, or actually most of the stuff- excep the ex girl friend thing- unles it was really really good! lol. anyways like i said overrated, i'd rather a guy buy me a beer or just bring me one...and yes we could just sit on the couch and watch the big game together , drink a beer and eat his almsot burtn homemade cookies...lol

i'm not all that into this article.. I could've been more creative... I'm keeping the expenses low this year.. and doing dinner at home, and for fun we are creating our own special mixed drinks for each other..we're gonna try to make some thing up.. should be interesting.. and doing a free ecard in place of one I have to buy! I found this cool one at www.withluv.com/treeofluv.. Yup.. that's my plan... my bf would hate for me to spend too much money on V-day... he thinks it's too commercialized.. soo this is what we came up with.
