Have you tried Mr Kook's Indian curries, sauces, marinade? Check them out at www.mrkooks.com. All you do is Add your choice of Vegetable, Meat and cook it. The Shrimp Coconut Curry Recipe, Try our Vegetable Curry (Coconut based) for that. It has received a very favorable review by the Supermarket Guru also. Why cook from scratch when you Mr. Kook's cooking sauces?

I make fresh sushi all the time. I watch the videos online and It's simple, easy and it's cheaper than buying it in town and fresher than at the super market! (It's pretty too!) I make everything including the tempura rolls and the yum-yum sauce! Look it up and try it. It takes some practice, but well worth it. There isn't even any clean up!

You guys are way off... the idea is to get you into the kitchen so that you can control what's put in your food. I applaud the recipes.

The ingredient list means unless I plan WAY ahead, I'd end up having to go shopping... Guess I'll just phone in my order after all!

Im not sure anyone gets it.... why arent we adding the time at the store to buy all these ingredients??? Plus cleanup! Or perhaps the choice of getting food fast might be one which you bought the chinese food last night but crave pizza today? Viva fast food.... Id rather just order out and watch tv during the loooong fifteen minute wait for chinese delivery.... and dont forget the soup...make that in fifteen minutes...

Cooking is my favorite. The best quick meals I've ever prepared involved me having an idea of what I want to eat and then putting it together without instructions. You know what you like and how you like it better than a general recipe :D.

PS. I second stockman's quote. Enough of the industrial food, time to start thinking, do-it-yourself-and-do-it-better-for-less-money. The convenience of take out is easily supplanted by the achievement and cultural preservation of home-made.

The recipes look okay. But you still have to cleanup. When I need a pizza fix I get a frozen wheat crusted pizza and add lots of veggies to it. VERY cheap and barely an cleanup

I always stir-fry veggies in vegetable stock or chicken stock. It does amount to "creative steaming", I suppose, but it turns out delicious.

Remember to get stuff on sale...a lot of stuff freezes and you'll save even more money-or more than if you just went out and bought all the ingredients. It's best to keep a well stocked kitchen/pantry at all times so you can whip something up in no time. And the more you make something the faster you'll get....barring the cooking/baking part of course.

Well, heck yes, you can make all of this stuff at home, and it will be better, too. And yes, you have to have some stuff in your pantry. But it's stuff you ought to have there anyway. Too expensive? Eliminate a couple of restaurant meals and you'll more than pay for it.
