Never had the green beans or the brussel spouts at thanksgiving. We usually do pearl onions, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and squash with walnuts.

The brussel sprouts sound yummy. My favorite side dish is my Grandma's homemade cranberry sauce. It is tart and delicious. It has a whole orange and a whole apple in it along with a bag of fresh cranberries. From what I remember it is made in a food processor, what I do remember is how delicious it is. I can't wait to have some on Thanksgiving.

Brussel sprouts? I don't think so. Some of this stuff looks weird. But it seems like I and Kat have something in common. (We usually have those foods, as well.)

These are very interesting sides. How were the top five chosen? Was there a survey? I am disappointed that stuffing isn't on the list. I think stuffing or dressing is a staple and I also don't think cranberries are a side dish. I thought that was usually a topping for the turkey and dressing?

i disagree about the sides i think the five sides are: sweet potatoes, baked mac and cheese, stuffing, string beans, and rice and gravy.

We do stuffing/dressing, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, and sweet potatoes (sometimes), and green beans, but we generally have between 10 - 20 people and some of whom bring stuff :).
