That sounds like a terrible idea, where's the turkey in this? I take the turkey neck and "innards" the night before Thanksgiving and put it all in the crockpot with some veggies, seasonings and water to create a nice base broth. This is what I use for making the stuffing and later, combined with some drippings the gravy. It's the only way to go!

I'm with Beena! I want turkey in my gravy!! That is a great idea, Beena about the crock pot. I think I'll give it a try this year!. I can taste it already!

This is a good alternative for those of us who smoke our turkey on a bbq. I imagine that some of the drippings from the bird could be added into the pre-made gravy...I'll try it.

I agree with Beena; where is the turkey? I make a day ahead gravy from a Cuisine recipe by roasting turkey wings, carrots,
celery and onions. and use those drippings for the gravy; Even
put a little of the turkey meat from the wings. Its gooood!

I think this sounds like a great idea. I have been put on a very strict diet due to some health issues and this fits right into it. I can have gravy this Thanksgiving with this recipe unlike with my usual gibblet gravy. Thanks for the recipe.

I totally agree with Whitney A. get some holiday spirit! I am going to try this recipe. It sounds good, I just hope that the carrot taste isn't too strong.

if so many are repulsed by the fact that there is no turkey involved; why not replace both broths for turkey. hmmmm....what a novel approach... if you want to make it early; use turkey part or turkey legs to make the broth & add those cooked pieces to your noodles or another dish at a later date

Just a basic vegetable stock, not a gravy, if I served this at home it would thrown at me and rightly so. Do people get paid to dream up this sort of nonsense?

sounds like too much work and too many ingredients. Turkey gravy is easier; but if you are having a smoked or barbeque turkey, might be a tasty alternative!! always open to new ideas!!

I actually have tried and tasted this gravy and if you are just having a small turkey breast and want a small amount of gravy without having to buy a jar...this is great then.

Don't really agree with the so call Tax Professional comment about women and our sex life. Yet i guess he failed to notice that the comments where ment to be about the gravy and not about our sex lifes and us being women. I have never tasted gravy with out the turkey broth but I will sure give it a try though.
