How dare you chris! Vegans aren't wackos! They're people that have been able to escape ignorance, and had the common sense and dedication to exclude all animals and their products from their diet. Animals are put through so much abuse, and vegans/vegetarians are the ONLY ones who have heart enough to stand up for them...Sounds like your still stuck in a selfish circle, seeing as you can't see that vegans are some of the few people in this world who can sacrifice something for the sake of others who aren't loved very often. How about you keep your rude comments to yourself!

Thanks alot for these fantastic ideas because I am a cook fanatic. You all have helped me get some new ideas because most of us are just use to Turkey, Stuffing, vegetables, biscuits and lots of deserts. We dont even sit down to think about some new things to make for the family and friends to taste. Then you will get alot more credit for making something new.

You say you don't have to eat Turkey... yet almost all of these menus have Turkey as the main entree. This article did me no good at all !! As for me... We are having a stuffed crown roast of pork with gravy and the traditional other fixings.

Eat turkey or nothing, either way it's better than the chemicals you get in health foods...

Thanks, Butch! How about a meatlover's menu? Venison stew, honey-glazed ham, roast beef, rack o' lamb. I'm still trying to come up with a meat-based dessert...Hey, what a great idea for a cookbook!

Hi horses101lovr, Its under "vegetarian" not "vegan". Most vegetarians eat animal products, just not the animal. So, it probably does have eggs. =)

Cook the turkey. Let everyone else bring something. They can all blame one another.

Wonderful ideas, and I certainly hope everyone that came here found something to enjoy. I hope you vegans learn to respect other people's choices and not force your opinions on us. I will never understand how eating an egg (which is not an animal, only nutriants) is being cruel. If I was to subscribe to your logic, then eating any vegertables is depriving some animal of a food source and thereby is in itself cruel. Enjoy Thanksgiving and bless you for your compassion, but please let every one else enjoy theirs.
