Khris R, Girl did you come from my family? That is like the exact menu we have every year, along with whatever anyone else wants to make. There is always so much darn food, I don't know how we ever manage not to waste any of it.

Teri L, we eat on it for a week afterwards! And that is not counting the deserts! I raised 3 kids on that & when they got older their friends started stopping by. They are now 24,20 &21 & I have a 1yr.&4yr. grandbabies! They are in Okinawa (Army) this year & my daughter is making the same menu! Just the 4 of us this yr & it will still be the same!

Khris, I hear ya. Our family has been doing that menu for years as well, and when I got married and had to go to the in-laws, well it just wasn't the same. I stopped going to the in-laws and started inviting everyone over to my place. Now the in-laws serve the same menu when they can't make it to our place for the holiday. Happy eating!

I am vegan. A very happy one =). We should totally look into healthy, environmentally friendly, cruelty-free, eating more and more. Meat production is SUCH a problem for humankind. I really wish that more people would look into this issue because it involves so many issues that are threatening us. One site is veganoutreach.org Be thankful this thanksgiving! Happy Holidays! =)

How can people get tired of food they usually only eat once a year? I never get tired of it, I always look forward to it. I would be very angry if I came home and on the table no bird and no dressing!?

T.B. sees what I feel maks it different at my home, simplt add one dish native to your family tree. I like to make turkey ravioli as a side. Think about it and you will spice it up this year too.

It has always been a tradition in our family to have k-loaf, Mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, fresh rolls & butter, cranberry sauce & pumpkin pie - And since I have been married and my hubbys family has their own way - I sure miss our Thanksgiving - would give anything to have that again - but hubbys family is so closed to new ideas and wont change or add anything to their traditions - Been thinking of heading home for Thanksgiving - but then they will be upset .....
