You should always bring some wine or beer or other alcohol, and then a backgammon set and hustle all your guests to cut costs.

Great list! --I like to have a snappy set up for my picnics, but I'm with you--taking something special is is asking for trouble. Have you ever tried those cool Styrofoam cups that have the funny sayings on them? My favorites ones say Backyard Baccarat and Coastal Crystal--you should try them! It dresses up your outing, and then you can just toss them.

Thanks for the great advice and tips. I've been looking for something a long the lines of a checklist. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to take the kids (my dogs) to the park for a picnic for the longest time, but weather never permits or we can't think of what to bring. Thanks again!

I love Lindsay Lohan! She's the best! I just wish the media would leave her alone while she goes through this very difficult time in her life. Poor girl is suffering. Let's all hold hands and pray for her!

I like to grill some bull penises and serve on buttered hot dog rolls. those are good at a picnic, but admittadly it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Good Lord; some of these experts on Yahoo give such obvious advice its a little ridiculous. I knew this stuff as a little kid and any adult with half a brain knows the things she expressed. Nothing new to report here. Kind of a waste of time.

OO, lovely tips all! I am going to go home and stir-fry some veggies, compile fresh fruit for finger foods, make some tortillas, and take all outside for that early evening romantic picnic with the husband! Warm, filled tortillas, fresh fruit, and some chilled green tea, dim evening, candles. How fun!

How can you people even think of a picnic at a time like this? Lindsay Lohan is suffering in rehab and all you people can think about is your own fun. You are all VERY selfish!

Good Stuff, even a guy can come off as the "sensitive, caring and romantic type", If I try to surprise my wife with something like this. Hey and about the music selection, its GOOD. There is something for everyone in there.

Nothing like new and great ideas. Sure seems like together we can get the best picnic ever together. Oh yeah, always include the candles, wine, cheese, bread and grapes. Also bring along some moist towelettes. ENJOY...
