don't get me wrong i like to eat wierd things but actually it can be cheaper to use thai noodles instead of ramen noodles, plus the fact of using the 1/2 cup soy sauce? i think i will use about a 1/4 cup stir fry sauce.

Okay, we're not pre-k anymore people, so grow up. It's probably better than any fake asian food that you get for take-out, anyway. Sooo, how about we actually taste it before we say what it looks like it'll taste like. Make sense?

We've been making a variation of this [ramen noodles] for 2 years. In large pan [12 in. skillet] stir fry veggies till done but still crisp, add whatever cooked [meat from 1 chicken breast; leftover steak cut up, cut up pork chops] meat, add 4 packets noodles [broken up] & 2 cups water [you can flavor the water with bullion], bring to boil, put on cover and let cook 2-3 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking. Turn off burner and let stand 5 minutes, toss on chopped scallions. Other than prep of veggies and meat... Instant supper! serves 4 people and takes less than 15 minutes to make [approx 20 min prep time]. EASY!! just like it should be on a week night!

Someone needs to tell them that this "recipe" has been around for a long, long time. We called it "Prison Fried Rice"... all inmates can relate to this!

I have to admit - I loooooove ramen noodles. It's my secret comfort food.
BUT, have you ever looked at how much fat is in those tiny packages? TONS! And lots of saturated fat too!
If I'm going to take the time to cook, I won't be starting with Ramen noodles. I'll cook something healthy.

Thanks Terri...you took the words right out of my mouth...the closed minded will never get it....oh well...it sounds really good...and a note for the McDonald's group...you can always just make the noodles and add your favorite meat or veggie....oh wait...you all might not eat veggie either...oh well....enjoy! Peace & Love.

Go to "Pei Wei" and try the Chicken Pad Thai...it's the same thing with different noodles and it is great... Open mouths, insert something other than cardboard fast food, broaden your minds and pallets!!! Good stuff!!!

What the heck is Sambal? This sounds really weird, certainly not an "easy" variation to top ramen! I usually just add some sauteed beef or a sliced hard boiled egg and some scallions. Don't think I will be trying this one...

grow up. if ur alergic to peanuts, u cant say its gross, cuz u cant eat peanuts. and those who dont like peanuts, uve never tried it, so u wouldnt kno either. u probably can barely taste it. and those of u who do like peanuts yet think its gross, whats wrong with u? that seems to be the only thing everyone here has complained about. and it is just like an asian dish, uve just never tried it, so dont poo-poo it until u can actually say uve tried it. and if u dont like peanuts, then dont add the peanut stuff! im going to try it. at least i'll take a chance and not assume things.

Pre-k? Hillbilly's? Ignorant? Fools? Does name-calling make you sound more grown up?
The recipe does sound interesting, but I'd rather just mix an egg and cheese into my ramen and eat it with some salad.

I agree with the person that says that you should try it before you say yuck or gross. My mother always taught me (God Bless her) that before you pass judgement upon a kind of food, try just a taste of it first. Who knows, you may like it. If you don't, then you can say yuck or gross. I have a few foods that I won't eat, but I did try them first and didn't like it at all. Other foods I haven't tried, not saying that I won't try them at some point in my life, but I will keep my mom's advice and will try a taste before I pass judgement. So Bon Appetit. Don't Knock It, Until You Try It.!!
