I agree with almost all of the items you list, however I think it is necessary to warn people of the acidity of lemon. If you are frequently sucking on lemons the acid can actually thin the enamel on your teeth over time. So if you can, use the other options if they are available before going to the lemon or lemon rind, your breath might benefit, but if done too often can lead to the thinning of the enamel on your teeth.
thanks for the others suggestions

Great ideas !!!.Something I have noticed ,food's with sugar really leaves a bad taste in my mouth after.. These are good ideas that will work in a pinch...but most importantly !!!.Remember to floss . Usually the bacteria is trapped between your teeth...As the old saying goes,"FLOSS ONLY THOSE TEETH YOU WANT TO KEEP"... !!!

I disagree with the cinnamon. My mother used to chew cinnamon gum for awhile and it worsened the effect rather than making it better. But that's just me. :)

Great tips. Avoid lemon like the plague. I've got an ex-step-father who loved to eat them as a breath freshener and has tons of problems with his teeth, mostly due to the enamel wear down. Mint is great, better in a gum with Xylitol. Fresh mint and/or parsely can be hard to chew for some people, even tasting bitter. The yogurt idea is 2-fold. It will also have active live cultures which is another health benefit. I chew minty, sugar-free gum after every meal where I can't or don't have time to brush and/or floss.

The production and over production of saliva is the main cause for plaque build up which increases odors in the mouth--so eating foods to increase saliva that this article says washes away ? what exactly--is how more plaque is created. I do not believe this article. Bad breath is about food being left inbetween teeth and rotting. Eating will not reduce that--only effective dental cleanings and flossing daily, and brushing 3x a day!! BS here!!

You can skip the foods listed above and run a stainless steel spoon inside your mouth. The metal counteracts with the odor
causing sulphurs in onion and garlic. Works on smelly hands too, I rub my hands over my metal faucet after cutting onions. Try it!
