Breath Stress Begone

Get anĀ upset stomach and here's what else you can get: bad breath. Now here's how to keep that total turn-off from happening: yogurt. Not only is it easy on the digestive system, it's excellent at reducing hydrogen sulfide in the mouth--a particularly unpleasant compound (yes, the rotten-eggs one) that can be a side effect of internal distress.

Yogurt does this the same way it does so many other good things in the body: by replenishing beneficial bacterial in your intestinal system.

Just be sure the yogurt has live active cultures, the source of those good-for-you bacteria. Not all types do, especially the highly processed, sugar-loaded varieties that might as well be sundaes. Check yogurt labels for LAC-shorthand for live active cultures--and eat about half a cup twice a day until your insides are back to normal. At least you won't have to worry about your breath while your body's rumbling and grumbling.

    you can also buy the culture in powdered form in most health food stores. I would make sure it has the L. acidopjilus culture in it. Put a 1/4 tsp in juice or water and youre done! Those who suffer with the hard to treat C.dif may benefit from this as well.

    when the bowels are backed up is the best time to eat yogurt. active lifestyle is great if you have a stomach ache so keep it handy in your fridge.
