The reason Einstein wrote that we could not live without honeybees is not because we need to eat it, but because we rely heavily on them to pollinate our plants and make the fruit and vegies we rely on to grow.
Beekeepers rent out their hives to growers so there will be pollination of crops and without honeybees which are the insect world's most prolific pollinators our food supply will need some other method of pollination or we will face huge shortages (and perhaps starve)

Does honey have an expiration date?
Answer:
Honey stored in sealed containers can remain stable for decades and even centuries! However, honey is susceptible to physical and chemical changes during storage; it tends to darken and lose its aroma and flavor or crystallize. These are temperature-dependent processes, making the shelf life of honey difficult to define. For practical purposes, a shelf life of two years is often stated. Properly processed, packaged and stored honey retains its quality for a long time.
If in doubt, throw it out, and purchase a new jar of honey!

Honey does not spoil if the moisture content stays below 18%. As long as you keep it in a cool, dry place with the lid on tightly you shouldn't have to worry about it. Some varieties of honey crystallize faster than others, but it is still good. Just warm it gently to re-liquefy. DO NOT put a squeeze bear in the microwave to warm the honey - it will melt very quickly. There is a lot of very detailed information about the health benefits of honey, lots of recipes for edible goodies and skincare products at www.honey.com (the National Honey Board's website). I've been a beekeeper for several years and I never get tired of hearing how wonderful honey and honey products are!

CRAZY!!!
but honey is delicious...the original copies of the quran were destroyed over a hundred years after it was written, and replaced with a "new" quran...its only 1100 years old. check the facts, its not god who says to hate christians and jews...as the quran does...that's a little recognized figure named Satan. honey is delish...israel was proclaimed the land of milk and honey about 2800+ years ago.

I am an RN that recentlly finished collecting about 18000 pages of research on skin and wound care. In many of the research articles the term "Manuka Honey" was present. Until this research project I had no idea that honey had such a long standing reputation as a skin and wound healant/protectant. It's healing documentation and use goes back even to ancient Egyptian times. Although the research shows different grades of honey are good for different stages of skin care, some being better than others, most have documented uses for skin or wounds!
