I discovered saute-ing chard in a little extra-virgin olive oil w/ a little onion and minced garlic years ago. I hadn't thought of adding sesame seeds. The taste result is fabulous and quite different from eating the vegetables just steamed, etc. Very quick to do after a long day at work ...and very yummy.

Great list. . . always good to get a little reminder. 2 Comments though. Lemons - You said, a little homemade lemonaide - - make sure you don't add sugar to that lemonaide . . . I just put a couple of tablespoons of fresh lemon Juice in my water, light lemon taste, no sugar Green Tea - Beware, green tea has as much caffeine (or at least close to as much) as coffee, so if caffeine is not your thing . . .

Green tea does not have as much caffine as coffee! Its about half the amount....also this info has been around for eons and then there was the article yahoo posted recently on how detoxing doesnt work or help lo...go figure...all in moderation and fresh n raw is best!

These are all good ideas especially if you have a full-time cook and nutritionist working for you 7 days a week. Those of us who live alone won't be going through this list too often--because it's a lot of trouble. Which is why most people eat the way they do. Now if all these goodies could be combined in a big nutrition bar that you could munch as you work,,,fabulous! Oprah can live like this but most of us can't--and even she keeps getting fat time after time. I'd like to know how many people will be following these guidelines this spring! Hmmm...

I for one am for lots of fiber...it keeps you cleaned out and it keeps you from alot of colon problems. If this doesn't detox you it's great for just the fiber alone.

A good diuretic is a couple of glasses of cold beer. And if you take a multivitamin with it it's even healthier for you. How about a cup of protein powder mixed with your vodka? Talk about a power-packed cocktail! A comic years ago said re health food stores,"everybody in there looks sick!"

If you want a lot of fiber go out and buy 20 or 30 feet of rope, grind it up and mix it with your breakfast cereal. Not too bad, but you'll need a lot of milk(non-fat, of course) to get it down. Who wants a pepperoni pizza? Made with organic flour, of course!

Question: If you have a colon problem and you get it half cured--is it then a semi-colon? Just asking...
