There's loads more benefits to drinking tea and some of the evidence for its use in fighting acne, for example, is quite substantial. There's a decent Top Ten Facts article written here: http://www.foodeu.com/articles/Top+Ten+Green+Tea+Facts.aspx

About 5 years ago, I was much more outgoing, healthy and I maintained a healthy weight through diet and plenty of exercise. Well that all changed after I met my fiance. We began eating out a lot and going to the movies, you know... fattening date stuff. Well, since that time I have a lot less energy, I've gained nearly 35lbs within that time and my skin isn't as clear as it used to be. With our wedding only a few months away, I have switched from water and juice to water and green tea. Last year, 2008, I began to wean myself off of soda, although I've always only drank diet caffiene-free pop. Anyway, I began to wean myself off and eventually switched to water, V8 and vitamin water only. Anytime we go out to eat, I order water and I never order anything fried. (Although I will steal a couple fries from my hunnie) I just recently stopped drinking vitamin water and V8. I now drink water and plain lipton green tea. Since I've made the switch I have noticed that I have a bit more energy. I really like that! Also, within the last three weeks, I have lost 4 lbs. Not bad! Now all I need to do is start exercising reqularly! Ha! One more thing that I like to do with the tea bags, after they've been used, instead of throwing them away, I will dab my face with it right after I use an exfoliator. I've noticed a durastic change in my skin!
So YES! Green tea works! I use one tea bag per cup. I drink it plain with no additives. It takes a little getting used to but it's worth it in the end. Buying a bottle of sweet green tea is just the same as buying a soft drink. I believe that drinking it plain is the best way to take it. It's worked for me so far...

Ok, so I absolutly love tea! Especially green tea-which I drink Japanese green tea. I drink tea everyday (more than likely too much-if there is such a thing)
I do believe tea helps with breakouts and such...being a average teen with the stress of senior year I find that a cup of tea is simply soothing, plus all it nock out good antioxidents, and did I mention it also curbs my appitie-which is good...lol
Jasmine green tea is simply delightful, and has such a soothing floral sent.

My wife and I need to try something like this. She has high blood pressure and is overweight. Her back is bad so she cannot excersize. I need to lose about 20-30lbs. myself. I, also, am starting to get high cholesterol. This sounds like what we need. Most of the past 30 comments have helped. Thanks everyone!!!

I drink green tea, don't smoke, exercise, drink moderately and had cancer - just saying that getting or not getting a lot of diseases is genetic - no matter what you do. You certainly can help yourself by being healthy, but there is a new study every week about the magic food or drink. I don't believe most of them.

I buy my GREEN tea from a Middle Eastern store, it comes in a bag is all natural, is a little strong so don't put too much, I add honey it helps to get faster into your blood stream and also 1/2 of a lemon. When you buy tea bags 1/2 of the benefits are lost due to processing. Natural is the way to go.
