I wish I knew how to drink green tea, like does hot or cold make a difference? Can you use splenda? Is there a particular good tasting brand? And how much do you need to consume daily for the max benefits? Thanx so much

just a message for the 2 doubters, Um first of all there aren't rivers of green tea and its been scientifically proven that green tea is extremely good for your health (most people know that).

I once read that you have to drink huge quatiites of this stuff everyday to have any impact what-so-ever. Did i miss it in the article cause I don't think it tells you how much yu hve to drink to get all these incredible benefits.

I drink a cup of Bigelow green w/ lemon every morning before I eat breakfast. It doesn't need a sweetenet added to it at all. The lemon flavor cuts the bitterness of the green. It also comes in peach, mint, mango & pomegranite. Peach is my 2nd favorite(haven't tried mint or mango). Pomegranite is ok, but Stash makes a better one. Republic of Tea does also (best).

PS- you don't add milk to green tea (only black).

I have read that green tea should not be steeped in boiling water--some degrees less is best ; this from the owner of a tea shop. Also heard ( I read everything!) that bottled tea does not have the same antioxidant effect as fresh brewed.???

Studies show there are no tea benefits if you add any milk. I drink all tea and coffee straight up - it takes a little time to get used to but it can be done.

This is for momof3girls,
Adding a natural sugar like a root or honey isnt going to hurt, but it will have an added effect for example licorice root is an aphrodisiac, Emollient, & a Tonic, Honey and lemons have a list of there own look em up.
enjoy.

nope mentioned adding Licorice to the green tea. If you have high blood pressure do NOT add Licorice for it raises the blood pressure. I lost over 50 lbs two years ago and have kept it off ever since. I do drink green tea, the diet Arizona kind to be exact and swear that it is part of the reason for not gaining back any. Oh, and I do work out at a gym 4-5 days per week at about 45 mins to an hour.

Forget this stuff. I drink green tea because it tastes good, even without sugar. It doesn't matter how many health benefits something has if it's so nasty you don't want to eat/drink it.

I just want to know if the green tea you buy in the can at any store is the same as what you guys are talking about. Or do I need to buy tea that I have to brew.
