the OP seemingly doesn't know the cons to dental / oral health of the acidity in the Sodas, or most pre-packaged store bought teas which are insidious in that they are every bit as damaging to teeth in many cases as the sodas are due to the preservatives. Ice teas are misleading, you think you're doing something good for yourself getting anti-oxidants and caffeine, but they too have alot of acidic preservatives. Do yourself a favor, make your own ice tea at home... You'll get the max benefits w/o preservatives, and get to choose a sweetener of your choice. Alot of debate on sweeteners, w/ advantages & dissadvantages as far as taste, and calories, oral, and overall health effects. Try to reduce the amount of sweetener you use regardless of your final choice:Xylitol, Splenda, Honey, Sugar, etc... read about these!

I actually get most of my caffiene from chocolate or tea, both of which aren't listed. I think this WAS more about advertising for energy drinks than anything else!!!

All those drinks are horrible for you except plain 'ol black coffee. The energy drinks can make your heart beat right out of your chest. Diet coke? are you serious? Regular coke is better for you and even that isnt good for you. I bet you all of those things have high fructose corn syrup in them which your brain completely skips over plus your liver can't break it down.It also slows down your metabolism. We feed ourselves and our children this crap..no wonder the obesity rate is so high.

hot chocolate has no caffeine, just sugar. i already know caffeine's benefits to me: keeps my weight down (supresses appetite and metabolism goes up) and allows me to run on very little sleep. i don't need an article to inform me of it's benefits, i already drink like 5 times the recommended amount :)

well, i have an extremely hard time without caffeine due to my job. ive been waking up for the same time every morning over two years now and im still always tired and grumpy. ive detoxed before and im still a pretty bitter morning gal. so, ive tried several on that list, but my favorite is the enviga. caffeine strips you of calcium if you didnt know and enviga is nothing really but a high dose of both caffeine and calcium. and it's GREEN tea!!! beware though, drink it slow or you will pass out or get sick. i usually give myself two hours to wake up, get ready, eat, and when i start my drive, i start my drink and finish it round lunch. not to mention, i lost a few lbs :)

also, im a huge tea fan, it's alot better for you than the bevs loaded with syrup and fake sugar. the black tea from starbucks is amazing and a venti/large is half the price of a medium coffee there. and ginger peach tea has a beautiful flavor and smell. i hate tea that tastes too strong; the ones ive mentioned have a modest, almost an after taste of flavor that is satisfying but not overwhelming.

the healthiest way to get energy of course is vitamins; B12, Iron, Calcium. (iron and calcium are crucial for women!) of all of these drinks recommended, i suggest enviga. caffeine strips your body of calcium, so enviga has a high dose of both caffeine and calcium and it's green tea! it helped me drop afew lbs too. warning: drink it slow b/c it'll make you sick. tip: give yourself a good hour to wake up and eat before having and source of caffeine. when i dont have to wake up at the crack of dawn, i love starbucks black tea and and ginger peach tea by republic of tea. tea is healthy b/c it's not loaded with syrup like soda, it usually has antioxidants, and just enough caffeine that you wont crash.

and children should have NO caffeine and limited sugar. if you condition your children early they will draw to the better things naturally when they are able to decide for themselves.

Hey ,Coffee has been around for a long time, I don't think it has ever harmed anyone. Further more it's better than rotting out your teeth with pepsi or coke, or wrecking your liver with alchol so I say Yeah drink it.

I stick with a cup of black coffee or green tea in the morning. I don't drink "energy drinks" or sodas regularly. I have only had 1 energy drink the in past year, and have a can of soda maybe once every couple of months. It just doesn't seem good for the body to drink those on a regular basis.
