I think you can try this Chinese tonic soup. It is prepared with red qi zi, or Chinese wolfberry fruit / lycium fruit and half of a chicken. Boil it for 2 to 3 hours until the soup turned lucid brownish. Add salt to taste. It is good for eyesight & blood recoupment.

I have a remedy for a bad cough: Do NOT take cough syrup. Instead, get some Vicks Vapor rub (or any brand) and slather it on the soles of your feet. Then cover your feet with cotton socks. It stops the cough almost immedietly. It works every time for me! So before you reach for the Nyquil, which can have side effects, try this first!

Hot liquids, hot bath, then put on sweat pants and turtle neck then layer a sweater or sweatshirt over that, go to bed with a warm blanket and sweat it out.

I agree with the Chicken Soup and Hot Black Tea with Honey. If there is a fever cold liquids can sooth including Yogert. I also believe that a little TLC can go a long way. If your Mate is sick pamper, pamper, pamper! Love helps.

I think that by doing some of these things can help fight some of those colds/stomache flu. As a matter of fact I have a cold right now and what you can also do is drink gatorade-helps and especially some chicken soup-it helps! :D

Now, THESE are some good tips! ^_^
Also, when I'm sick, I don't consume any dairy (since it makes the mucus worse for me), add more herbs to foods, and drink Thera-Flu at night right before bed.

Being a mother as well as a woman of 37 I will say that I have tried most of these method's and also picked up a few of my own. When my stomach is feeling queesy or "squishy" as my girls call it, I give them "The BIG Cheez-Its" from the "Sunshine" company. Most doctors or nurses tell you to get them to eat some dry toast or crackers before giving them meds. or liguids but try getting a sick child to try to eat some dry toast or some plain old crackers, you know if you felt like that you wouldnt want to eat them either so one day I was feeling really nauseated and tried some of the BIG Cheez-It's not only were they really good way better than the regular size BUT something with the cheese and cracker combo did wonders for my belly. So the next time one of my girls got sick I gave them some and they felt better too! Now everytime they get nausated they ask for the big cheez it!

I knew someone who suffered from bad coughs and bronchitis yearly who took a mixture of Vodka, honey and ginger. Ick! It was nasty but seemed to help sweat it out.

Here;s the secret to never get a cold. LOL. Okay, at least it works for me, drink about 8 oz., or more if you would like, of Yerba Maté every week. I usually drink it twice a week and have not gotten sick in over 8 years.

Matt-what do you expect PETA to say about milk? I wouldn't listen to anything those nuts ever say. Don't kill an animal but go ahead and kill babies in abortion.
The whole PETA organization are a bunch of nuts vying for attention.
