I've worked hard all my life and earned every wrinkle I have.
When I was 25 I was mistaken for 17. I wouldnt't live through
that age again for any money. At 77 I eat mostly pasta, fish,
fruit, and chocolate. So sue me.

So far I've considered myself to be pretty fortunate. I'm 43 and don't have any wrinkles yet. And, it's true that what you eat helps. If you eat junk, it will only destroy your body. If you give it more of what it needs, it will benefit greatly. And, drink lots of water!!!

Heredity seems to play a great part in it too I'm Swedish and English mix. I am near 60, look from what everyone tells me around 48-50 years old which is embarassing when you have kids in their forties, thirties. The man in my life for now nine years is 40 years old and looks like Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp combo really gorgeous. I definitely need to lose weight and exercise more, but at least every other week I really pour on the excerise one day, moderate the remainder. I feel the viatmin C lotions, moistures, C-serum also help aside from the diets. I also use hot water on my face, no soaps if possible, cleansers at times. Then I take piping hot baths of a salts misture I've made to detox, submerging down into it covering my face, and body. I do use a scrup on my face about one to two times a month. Yes, I love veggies, but I love meat too.. mostly chicken and turkey.. must admit the other white meat too.

In the nineth century B.C., the historian Hesiod wrote in 'Works and Days,' 'Observe due measure, moderation is best in all things"
Moderate sun exposure [with moderate amounts of sunscreen] moderate consumption of alcohol, red meat, moderate levels of exercise, etc....... oh and let's not forget the hand genetics and just plain old bone structure plays in the development of wrinkles :) Be The Best You Can Be & Love Who You Are!

This article is really true, for more than one reason. It's common sense. If you put good things into your body, good things happen. If you put bad things in, then bad things can happen. I'm 43 and I'm told I look much younger. I try to eat right and excercise within my limits. Coping with stress the right way can also help. Take time out to take care of yourself, and you'll see the results later!!!

Beans and nuts are a total no no for arthritic people like me.I go for brown rice, veggies, fruits and fish...and lots of them in organic form.
My green tea, sour plum and yakult plus tofu saves me from the look of 40's...and my yearly retin-A routine. I am generally perceived as around 25 years young.

Companies try to get people to think they can put something on top of your skin to keep your skin young. It's too late at that point! Reducing your time in the sun, sunscreens, staying in shape, vitamin C and a good diet all help but to keep your skin subtle and soft from the inside out, DRINK WATER! All day long! Coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol are all diuretics and rob our skin of water/moisture as well. Our body's water needs to be replaced everyday. DRINK WATER! Life is much simpler than we make it!

The science behind the article is correct to date with regard to removing excess free radicals that predispose to ageing. But in defence of red meat it is one of the healthiest sources of Iron and Protein. Telling menstrual women not to eat red meat at all could cause anaemia. Broiled or Grilled Lean red meat several times a week is quite good for you. A little butter won't do any harm either. We can all do without processed foods where ever possible and some sweets in moderation can be good for the mind but not so good for the teeth. The key word left out of the article is moderation. The Food Pyramid includes all the "good guy" foods to prevent wrinkles any way. My mother is Italian and has cooked and eaten Olive Oil all her life. She's 80 and looks 65 with the energy of a 25 year old. She's just one example of healthy eating but her blood pressure occassionally goes up. I am 51 and people think I am 35. I have eaten olive all all my life too. The good guy foods help but they are only part of the story. Genes, Exercise, Stress Reduction, Good oral hygiene and keeping all your teeth intact and healthy plus Common Educated Good Sense and the best sunblock (85+ currently) you can get also help ++++++++.

I have just recently started eating healthy and it's really starting to pay off. I also exercise and use sunscreen, and no one ever guesses my age of 32. I will always enjoy a steak every now and then!!

I'm turning 35 soon, and I certainly don't want any wrinkles. But, it's going to be hard to not have red meat on my diet, since I am anemic. it's sort of a lose-lose situation for me. And I use butter on my cooking, so it's going to be hard to do that. I do love nuts, vegetables and uses EVOO all my cooking.

I am 49 years old. Never really followed any of that routine. Ate fast food, fat food and did get a sun tan some times. I am often mistaken for my late 30's early 40's so I think it is hogwash. I think it is your genetic makeup. At least in my case it is. My dad's family looks younger than their age. O and I don't color my hair and there are not grays yet either!

The foods on the right used to be very useful in the 50's and decades surrounding. People didn't care as much then, but people managed to stay healthy and thin somehow. I want to know, because now that most of us know what's good and bad, we show more of what we eat now rather than then. I would eat more things on the left, but there are some that I can't eat. I'm allergic to all nuts, some vegetables are disgusting (some are OK. I like carrots), and beans aren't in a lot of things I eat. Olive oil is very heart-healthy, so you'll have more reasons to add it to your favorite dishes instead of things like salt and butter (butter contains an awful amount of sodium). Whole wheat bread is an option at most sub stops, and doesn't taste too bad (it's bread, how bad can it be?). It shows that in some cases, it's not hard to be healthy.
