I personally think it is all about balanced diet and not over indulge in anything. The whole vegetarian thing, you're probably wearing leathers shoes or gloves made from the same animals we like to eat so get over it.God Bless

Thanks..I have been confused as to whether or not red meat is good for you and I love it so now I won't feel as guilty and now I know what cuts to buy. This was very helpful and thank you again!
P.S. we are who we are, so if you wanna eat MEAT then eat it, if you wanna eat VEGGIES then eat them.....It doesn't matter either way. We like what we like no matter who doesn't like it!!!

Some thing I have found among others that have sworn off meat is that ground beef smells disgusting. This is from people that used to enjoy it. Perhaps the best thing is to just work ones way off of these poorer meats towards healthier options such as poultry and fish and always remember to eat in small portions.
A great show on BBC that talks about life style changes in food is "You Are What You Eat". They address what these bad foods do to you not only on the out side but inside and mentaly as well.

Isn't buffalo on the endangered species list? I know it used to be. I saw some in the grocery store once. I never went back to that store again. I had a very sad feeling. I grieved for it. It just don't feel right to eat buffalo, deer, horse or any of the forked hoof animals. It is in the Bible. I am of Native American decent. The white people killed off most of the buffalo to the point of starving the Native Americans off their land, and now it's about to happen again. Have you ever seen one up close and looked into it's eyes? These are incredibley majestic animals and should be respected, not eaten.

Losing weigjht is as hard as you make it. I lost from 280 lobs ti 170 lbs and I did it by eating very child size portions and walking. I ate what I wanted. I ate slower so as to enjoy eating the same amount of time as if I were eating large portions. I also now eat a lot of negative foods. These foods take more calories to digest than the actual food but it all loads of nutrition, which is what you really eat food for. Think, Child Size. IT REALLY WORKS. It lowers you food bill, and your waist line.

I agree with capkneemo. The healthiest, leanest and most humane choice is vegan.
Sabrina, ever read Genesis? Every seed and fruit is laid out as food not meat.

Some animals are here for us to eat, but to take a baby (veal) and pull it from its mother, lock it up in a dark cramped stall, to be killed at 3 or 4 months old is disgusting. I have lived near a mega farm with 5,000 cows and have seen how they are treated... veal is a baby cow and they are treated very inhumane.

most likely go to your grocery store and theyll have bison along with other meats in the weird meat area away from your beef chicken and fish but if not then you can always order bison on the net

I wish the "food guru's" will make up their dango minds on whats good for you and not...5 months from now they'll say red meat causes cancer then 4 after that they'll say it prevents it...dang just eat what you want watch your heath and figure in the mirror and go about your biz

Some vegans I know have been the unhealthiest people I've met. You need meats to get all the nutrients your body needs. The only other substitutes are eating artificially created products or tons of vegetables that have a similar nutrient (but contains it in less of a quantity). Case in point - Vitamin D. Salmon is a great source.

Well, Bernadette...you just march right on down to the farmers market and eat all the darn carrots you want...and let the rest of us make up our own minds what to eat.

meat is cruel (to humans and animals--would you want your friends or family to work in a slaughterhouse?), bad for your health and terrible for the environment. GO VEGAN!!

Eating bison? no thanks, I think we did enough to their species when we nearly wiped them off the face of the planet, I'm appalled to know that bison is even available to eat.

everythin causes cancer so just live life to the fullest and enjoy it or youll end up regretting the fact you never did anything fun...just do a well balanced diet and youll be fine

Flesh consumption is cruel, unnecessary, unhealthy and detrimental to the environment. Please consider veganism as the healthy, humane choice for yourself and the world.
