The best frozen entrees out there are the Kashi brands - all are loaded with protein and fiber, with modest fat, salt and carbs. all of the are very filling, delicious and all-natural!

The butternut squash ravioli is REALLY good...I eat it about once a week. The panini's are good, and even better when you spray some PAM in a skillet and crisp it even further on each side...it does not taste as microwaved (If that makes any sense!).

Re comment #7: Mo, have you ever tried these meals? I have found almost all of them to be top-notch. I started eating Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice meals; I also began walking every evening after dinner. I lost 110 pounds.
The meals don't fill you up? Okay, so try a salad with lowfat or non-fat shredded cheese, and lowfat or non-fat dressing, and even Bac-Os (which are made from soy, which is good for us). Even a baked potato can be good for you, if you load it with the same cheese and Bac-Os mentioned above, plus lowfat sour cream. Hey, it worked for me!
For those who can stick to a two-slice limit, pizza from a local pizzeria is fine. But for those of us who have problems with portion control, diet TV dinners are great -- we can't go back for seconds.

I love the Boston Market frozen dinners, they have a great Lasgana, Meatloaf, turkey, and chicken and they are reasonably priced under $3.00 and they fill you up for lunches.

I wish that more TV dinners would have a low sodium version, they do it with soup now and now I actually like soup. It's so hard to stay healthy these days.

You know, rather than stocking your freezer with store bought dinners you could make the food yourself and freeze it in dinner size portions. That way you have the food you like the way you like it. It will also allow you to add whatever veggies etc. you like.

I have plenty of things I can make in 10-20 minutes that don't come out of a box, don't need to be nuked, and are healthier than anything on this list.

Gee Whiz !!! Do you REALIZE how much salt (sodium) there is in each of those supposedly "healthy" suggestions you make ... ?
These are NOT responsible suggestions for a healthy diet !

Trader Joe's carries some great frozen stuff as well with surprisingly good flavor, if you are lucky to have one in your neighborhood - I like their Chicken Enchiladas and Chile Verde Burritos. It is worth paying a couple dollars for your health!

Sodium, hello!? I think the sodium counts in ALL of these are through the roof! NOTHING beats home cooking. I think we can do better than these but if they are your only option other than McDonalds, go for it!

Seriously, lean cuisine meals are great I absolutely love them. They're a lot better than fast food and easy enough for me to have lunch (in an 1 at work) and dinner because sometimes when you get home cooking is the last thing you want to do.

I have been trying a lot of the Amy's Organic dishes. Haven't met one I don't like yet. So much healthier than that other crap. and most of them are made without GMO's. The Kashi ones are also delicious, but I am now a vegetarian, so can't eat them. You can also read the ingredients on those without a chemistry degree.

I hate frozen entres'. Frozen foods taste drab. There's nothing like home cooking. You girls should learn to cook, and your families would enjoy life again.

The idea is to have healthy versions of the originals. I'm sure you could make your own mac and cheese or go to a local pizza shop, but I highly doubt that you could find recipes this low in fat. Some people need portion control, so making their own macaroni and then eating only a 9 oz. serving is really difficult. Overall this a great list for anyone looking for some lower calorie alternatives.

I have found that the Healthy choice meals are very good, full of flavor and low in sodium. In fact some of them have more flavor than ones containing 2-3 times the amount of sodium. And you can even get dessert!
