I was happy to open my computer and see this article. I e-mailed it to my daughter and printed it for myself. I do eat a lot of things in the article but maybe not enough. Thank you for this information.

I do not think Lean Cuisine's Pizza and Panini dinners are healthy ideas to make into habits. Stock up your freezer with something else that has less than twenty ingredients on the back of the box and run to the local pizza shop and stick with your two slice limit.

IF you want delicious frozen theres only one choice. Bertolis frozen meals for 2. I have been eating in a hurry for a while and was blown away by the quality of these dishes.

The only think I dont like about the panini's was the texture of the bread. I would rather make my own, just as easy and I can control the portions and the fillings. but the butternut squash ravioli was really good!

I have to agree with mo, that LC is not a healthy choice. Honestly I rather cook a potatoe (with some salt and butter) and take a slice of bread for lunch than to eat one of those ready-made dishes. It creaps me out when I need a degree in chemistry to be able to read the ingredient label!

All of the Lean Cusines pizzas and paninis are wonderful! The garlic chicken is a fave as well as the BBQ chicken pizza (which I thought was going to be weird), the spinanch and mushroom pizza, philly cheese steak panini and the steak and cheddar panini. I stock up when they have a sale!!! I've lost 20 lbs since May without exercising or changing anything other than my lunch and dinner selections and I'm only a couple of pounds heavier than my ideal BMI. Do I sound like a LC add or what?! LOL

I don't like this article at all. Those aren't healthy alternatives. Fast food or frozen, all those chemicals are not healthy. What about veggies, 100% whole wheat, fresh fruit? If you know you're going to have a crazy day, perhaps cooking double the day before would work better. Unless, you want to be obese...and by the looks of it, most the world does!

As a personal trainer an nutrition coach, I am appauled to see that these are referred to as "healthy." True, they are better than their counterparts, but still NOT healthy! The protein is too low, and the carbs are way, way too high. The ratio should be at least 2 carbs to 1 protein. Also, the sodium, even in a low-sodium version is ridiculously high. Please be smart about your choices and look into preparing these meals yourself as opposed to purchasing them prepackaged. Anything prepackaged is going to have too much of the bad stuff and not nearly enough of the good stuff.

I've tried the Lean Cuisine panini and the Smart Ones Mac'nCheese and they were both really good! I was surprised. For the panini, its good as long as you let it sit for that 1 minute after its done cooking (it makes the bread just slightly crispy). And the mac'nCheese, i thought it would taste awful but there was alot AND it tasted almost as good as the other, less healthier brands.

Great ideas as we all need the help of an "instant" good tasting meal...but what about those of us whose Carb intake needs to be down....where are the good ideas for that??? Low fat ...great...but those of us who suffer from roller-coaster glycemic levels, need soem suggenstions too!!! Sacramento,Ca

Also at trader joes you can get a package of udon noodles and thai peanut sauce and mixed frozen veggies for about $7 total and that will make over 8 servings and takes less than 10 minutes to prepare.
I could easily give you a healthier cheaper and tastier version of all these recipes that does not cause exessive landfil waste just for one freaking serving.
funny how yahoo will promote so-called "thinking green" questions but turn around and post an environmentally unfriendly article like this one.

Lean Cuisine Panini Chicken Club= Yummy
Lean Cuisine Brick oven Pizza BBQ Chicken-Yummy
They do have to much sodium that will bloat you up. You need to be careful not to eat these things everyday or your feet will be swollen and blood pressure might shoot up a little. They are good to have just in the freezer in case you forget lunch. Otherwise don't eat them everyday.
