For working out, take a whey protein shake immediately after with some fast or high glycemic carbs to get right into the muscle. Skim milk with whey is also very good. This is for people who train pretty intense.

And don't forget, Rich, that a high protein whey shake is great to drink before two hours of heavy trick or treating. Hmm...anyway, I'll take one of all of the above in my bag, please! Trick or treat!

sounds tasty, but what kind of budget do you need to supply these to two classrooms plus the halloween beggars? Not to mention myself, of course. Also, where do we buy these?

ewww. a kid would say thanks. When ur not looking they would give it to a dog and the dog would hide it in the dirt so it will never be aloud to be seen by the human eye

Could someone provide a link to a "How to Clean Egg Off of Your House" article? Something tells me I'm going to need it if I give out these treats in lieu of candy...

interesting ideas but cocoa via cost $5 for 4 bars. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, the kids in my neighborhood would rather have a king size bar of candy.

How do these treats stack up on a 'hard to tamper with' scale? No one I know has passed out things like tangerines , boxes of raisins or apples since the 70's due to tampering scares. Specifically, will these treats pass local police station's muster if they're doing candy checks?

It's halloween. It's a time for pigging out on candy. If i get any crap like that when I go trick-or-treating I'm throwing it out. Thanks for the warning.

EXACTLY! where are these things- you make no mention of stores or otherwise, these all seem to be oddities that would be hard to hand out for halloween.

Now sure, healthy is better but usually stuff like that cost almost twice as much as regular candy, and I don't see many people actually shelling out the cash for a 'healthier' halloween...

The last several years, I have offered Trick or Treaters a choic of a bottled water or candy. 99% chose the bottled water! It's a little more pricey, but at least I feel I'm not contributing to a future (expensive) health crisis!
