Re: Charles' comment: I'm sure you meant no harm, but really people, there is nothing that you can ingest that stays in your system for years. The acids in your stomach and intestines are amongst the most powerful on Earth, so please don't believe such rumors as the honey one or the ever popular gum one. Even most drugs, illegal or prescription, are flushed out of your system with 72 hours (exceptions include certain creatine pills, marijuana, and radiation/chemo treatments). I'm sure I'm leaving out a few more, but nothing that is a food product. Again, best advice by firefox, moderation with EVERYTHING in life, and do indeed check with your doctor (and not an online one please), regarding any dietary changes/questions. Good luck everyone! Cheers! :-)

I use ginger for sprain ankle before, I just slice a couple of ginger with rubbing oil and heat it up for 10 to 15sec. put it on the injured spot and rap it up..keep it on for 20 to 30min. The ginger should heal your sprain ankle in one week. you should do this twice a day.

Ginger is typically taken by Chinese women during post-natal confinement for decades. I was having hot ginger drink and Ginger Chinese Wine everyday for the whole confinement period(at least one month). It helps to get rid of cold and warm up the body. To spice up the dish, try to peel and slice it to very thin and fry in hot oil until the ginger turns brown, set cool and store it in a jug. Use it as topping on any dish . The fragrance and taste is so muack...Yummy! I use ginger very often. That's why there are 12 ginger plants in my garden :) You may try out this website on ginger recipes :- http://kuali.com/recipes/morerecipe.asp?index=1&page=2&ino=1&ing=Ginger Enjoy!
