Ginger is awesome! I've used it to help settle an upset stomach. Another site I visit for herbal information is herbal-remedy-online.net :) There is nothing better in the cold winter months then some ginger tea!

Ginger is also good if you have a lot of phlem in your system. You should clean your tongue with ginger for the phlem to come out.

One thing crystallized ginger will do to you on an empty stomach is make you throw up. I had a few pieces of crystallized ginger awhile back and I felt sick as a dog! I felt weak, faint, and eventually threw up. And, yes, I knew it was the ginger doing it to me. Other than that, I would say it's probably good for you. Just don't eat it on an empty stomach.

I have been using fresh ginger in my homemade decaf ice tea all summer. I usually add some fruit slices like peaches, lemon & lime and sugar/honey to taste, I recently had a blood test and my cholesterol was so normal. Enjoy! :))))

Not heating honey refers to the PROCESSING of it (that is, it should be unprocessed) ... not putting it into hot foods!

Have you heard of Ginger Tea, its made in India this way 1. Add half a cup of milk and half a cup of water - I usually prefer 2% milkfat. 2. Add 1 spoon of tea to this and bring it to a boil, make sure you stir it while it boils. 3. Add grated Ginger while you boil the tea. 4. Let the tea sit for a few minutes till it not too hot. 5. Filter the tea leaves and ginger out, add sugar and drink it.
