Quorn is the bomb.
Boca makes me want to heave. There is some nasty aftertaste to it that makes me sick. I think it is the "smoke" flavoring. Ugh.
Anyway, I have to respond to the person who claimed an *unfertilized* chicken eggs gave signs of fetal heartbeats. Um. Dude, that's quite impossible. That's like saying that every time I ovulate, I'm pregnant, even though I'm celibate. The only way to have chicks in the egg is for a rooster to be present. I've *had* chickens. Trust me.

At least vegetarians can proofread ;) And there is no chance of our contracting vCJD. So...did you sleep through the first twelve years of school, or are you feeling a bit shaky, there? :P
The best burgers I've had -
Black bean and mushrooms patties "assembled" in my kitchen, by me.
Veggie burgers are ok if you're new to vegetarianism or if you're dining out but they can be expensive and some are too processed.

Morning Star black bean burgers hit the spot with southwest flavor. Tomato basil pizza burgers are great for a meat alternitive in a pasta with tamato sauce. If your looking for that close to real burger taste your best bet is to grill a Boca Giller. Boca chik'n patties are great even sliced up for sandwichs and salads. Amy's make a whole bunch of great burritos, veggie lasanga, meatless meatloaf... ect. Dont be afraid to try new things. If the burgers dont make a good sandwich youll find a way to fit them into a meal.

I absolutely love Gardenburgers, however my son doesn't, so we also use a brand he has eaten since he was six years old......Worthing Foods Fri-Pats; you've got to try them!

I can't believe that Dr. PRAEGERS BURGERS are not on the list. They are without question one of the best out there. The only down side I see to their burgers would be their consistency, they are not as firm as the top burger picks.

I'm so happy to see the All American Flame Grilled Bocas made it to top three! They taste just like I remember hamburgers tasting like when I was 6 or 7. Add a little onion, mustard, ketchup, and wheat buns and it's heavenly.

Morningstar's Black Bean Burgers are beloved by my veggie and non-veggie friends alike. They are fantastic! Their Philly Cheesesteak and Pizza Burgers are not far behind. Gardenburger has a pretty good Black Bean variety, as well.

blue mango veggie burgers are the new IT in vegetarian food. they are all natural, no preservatives or fillers of any kind. They are low in sodium, high in fiber and have 8 g of protein,BUT beyond all that health business, they are so tasty they will blow your mind. If you try them, you will never buy a morningstar, boca or garden burger again. Check us out at bluemangofoods.com

Thanks for the tips. I have been dieting for the past 2 yrs and have lost over 80lbs, just by stopping regular colas and watching my fat intake, mostly the red meats & fried foods. I am always looking for a way to increase my favorite foods the burgers sound too good to pass up.

Does anyone look to see if the veggie burgers they are eatin' are non-GMO? That means using ingredients that are NOT genetically modified!! Mornigstar constistenly uses genetcally modified soy beans in their products. Boca, Amy's and some others do NOT. WAKE UP, PEOPLE! Non GMO os the way to go!

I'm not a vegtarian. I liked meat a lot and no with health and weight problems I have had to try some new things. The Boca Italian sausage is goooood! I was surprised. Other brands of veggie burgers were yukky. My daughter gave me pkg of Dr Praegers burgers. Looked too green with corn & etc. I tried it and was amazed at home good they are. So I am a fan of Dr Praegers burgers. Now I like fresh ground turkey that I make into burgers & really like that too. I sprinkle with little garlic powder in a pan with Pam spray. Good whole wheat bread with
a little light mayo & yummmy!
