I tried the avocado facial and it is terrific - now I know that avocados are a double duty food. Good inside and outside! I love this column with its unusual hints for food and beauty!!

in our province in the Philippines we have a huge tree of avocado, when i was at at my grade school, i ate some of them, there are a lot of overripe avocados and we just toss them away, i did not realize it's healthy. now i wish i could go back in time!

Avocados are excellent--in moderation. While they do contain the good mono and poly fats--they have LOTS of them--just one has 320 calories and 30 grams of fat!

Be careful with this one - I tried the mask a few months ago and broke out in a terrible rash. Avocados aren't great for everyone's skin....

Answer to waward1de. The name of passion fruit was given by the jesuits in the XVI centruy when they come to South America. They identify in its flowers the passion of Christ. I have read that is the origen of such a name. In Venezuela we call it "Parchita". It has an aromatic strong flavor.Avocados also have a sensuos taste.Specially the small ones from México. Avocados also make an excellent hair mask!!

I love avocado, specially if it's a shake avocado and w/ one or two scoops of vanilla ice cream, before my niece and nephew don't eat avocado, but w/ combination w/ ice cream, they love it, why don't you try it too, I am sure you will like em.
