In my opinion, green tea is good but you have to moderate it.this to prevent any side effects because tea is also loaded with cafeine.

My dr. told me that caffiene blocks the absorbtion of iron. I still have my teas and coffee, I just don't have them with a meal!

My Bones, or any one reading...Any drink that contains caffeine will block the absorption of iron..Caffeine is a toxin to your body...I recommend buying "caffeine free" for you and your children...Happy drinking!

To those of you who buy & drink the Lipton green tea. It does not contain as much green tea as you think because upon reasing the Contains list green tea is the third ingredient after corn syrup & citric acid. This list is prepared in descending order by amounts in the bottle. To all of you who want the benefits of drinking green tea, I would suggest brewing your tea. Then you will maximize the content & not get ripped. The Lipton stuff does taste good, but it is not all that benficial from a green tea standpoint. I occasionally will drink a bottle of it because it does taste good.

As a Brit, I have been drinking tea since infancy. Usually the regular hot black leaf but will definately try the green tea iced. The recipes sound great. I have tried the jasmine green tea as a hot beverage. That might be nice iced with some honey.

Great recipes and great job with your continued promotion of the health benefits of green tea. I've had tremendous success with lowering my cholesterol and weight. Check-out my blog with some of my story and some links to the science behind how this stuff works.

one warning though, about green tea, ... many nuitritionist forget to warn that even anything beneficial can be bad too if taken to the excess. if you drink more than 2 cups of green tea a day, it may do too much cleansing , and you will have internal problems. black tea is safer for those who needs to drink more tea. if you notice, the orientals do not drink a large glass of tea like westerners too. there is a reason for this. everything in moderations. like coffee, drinking too much tea can reverse its benefits.

If you like the flavor of green tea with lemonade, try mixing the little Countrytime packets of lemonade (which are really made for water) in with your bottled green tea. It's delish for a change of pace!
