I have a 5yr old son and a 2 yr old son that will drink small amounts of green tea. I don't think they have quite made up there mind if they like it. They usually drink it when really thirsty. It shouldn't hurt them to drink it. In my opinion, it's better for them than pop and people give that to their kids without thinking twice about it.

I started drinking green tea @ Starbucks. I went from drinking a venti iced white mocha, to a venti iced green tea. I do get my tea sweetened though. It is usually is too bitter otherwise. How much do you think the sweetener counter-acts the benefits of the tea? any opinions????

People, quit fooling yourselves. A lot of your are talking about Lipton Green Tea that you buy at the store. It is a syrup produced formulated beverage loaded with sugar, caffeine and preservatives. You are getting no health benefit. You might be losing weight only because it's slightly less bad for you as drinking the regular soda you were before. Even the "Diet" Lipton Green Tea is loaded with caffeine. Too much caffeine is bad for your blood pressure, stress hormone production, anxiety, prostate, and immune system. Caffeine dehydrates the body and contributes to the aging of the skin and kidneys. Caffeine inhibits the absorption of some nutrients and causes the urinary excretion of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and trace minerals, all essential elements necessary for good health.

Green tea (and other tea as well) contains natural fluoride -- In other words, it's good for your teeth. I'm a dental hygiene student and recently learned this fact. Just stay away from adding sugar!

Does the green tea taste like the regular tea? I love rasberry tea and peach tea and good old southern sweet tea. Been wanting to try the green tea but wary of the taste.

I've been drinking hot and iced green tea for twenty years, just out of preference over other blends. That's great if it's an antidioxidant too, but I'm not a health conscious person anyway, so it's just a preference. I've never heard anything about it being unsafe for children or anemics though. I'd worry more about Kool-Aid than green tea.

My husband's family in Mie, Japan has a beautiful large green tea farm. They only harvest once a year and the green tea tastes fresh and very different than what's sold off the shelves in most grocery stores or served at the Japanese restaurants. We should be receiving a shipment from 2007's harvest. If you'd like to try a sample please email me at healthluxe@gmail.com . I won't spam you...promise.

drink your tea a few hours before or after a meal so it will not block the absorption of iron from your food or vitamins. if you give blood on a regular basis skip the tea they serve at the red cross centers and skip your tea for a few days . Make sure you are getting enough iron in your diet especially women and vegetarians

Green Tea has CAFFEINE !..The stronger the concentration, the more coffee. And caffeine is bad for you!...It depletes your bones of calcium and in the long run causes osteoporosis. And you get brittle bones especially as you get older....

Revolution Tea makes a great "Tropical Green Tea" with pineapple, citrus flavors, and a hint of jasmine. They are tea bags, but they contain premium full-leaf teas. I brew only 2 bags per liter/quart of iced tea I'm making, so a 2 quart pitcher costs me only $1.25. They also make a green earl grey which I like to drink hot.

Drinking green team is fine. But stop drinking those "processed" green tea such as Lipton. Too much sugar, not enough Tea. Loose tea leaves are the best one for you. You don't need a lot, just a pinch will be enough for a cup. Just refill with hot water and let it brew for a while. You should be able to make at least 3 cups out of it. If you like to try it at a chain store, Peet's coffee and Tea has better Green Tea than Starbuck and Wolf Coffee.

In my opinion, green tea is good but you have to moderate it.this to prevent any side effects because tea is also loaded with cafeine.
