I liked the artical so i e-mailed it to myself and wife so we can try to eat more healthy. In responce to what others had said,i think we need more knowledge about spices and foods that truely help not just take what a person says thats good for you or not time has always show that people say things and really have no idea what they are talking about further more people are very easy to listen to somone else that may be older or youger thinking they no what there talking about. just provide more facts and have something to back it all up.

Amanda on Diabetes: could you send me copies of the studies, that would be very helpful to have onhand. ..... Mr. Big: I agree that residual chemicals on herbs is harmful, as to buying herbs from asia, I've an article on how some farmers use embulming fluid and other poisons to preserve foods; which is something to consider regarding foreign-grown herbs I think. ......to everyone, if youve recipies, please send them to us. My wife makes everything from scratch, even bread and noodles, and would love herbal recipes you might have. A nice article, and we enjoyed the comments too!

Im an Indian too but I say its best if taken with moderation, certain indian kitchen herbs have contraindications like stupidity and slothism like asafoetida, and too much garlic can actually cause heart problems than prevent it. Wouldnt recommend taking raw cinnamon with coffee, because certain active ingredients in cinnamon can increase the stimulant's potency and cause brain damage by assisting the corrosion of brain matter by theobromine (oxidised caffeine)

Laura B, - Zuccinni on the GRILL is wonderful. Split them in half and brush with a mairnade of Olive Oil, White Wine, Thyme, Salt and Pepper. Grill on each side till nicely browned.

Maybe that is why people are so obese and unhealthy, they eat the fast food garbage instead of cooking at home and caring about themselves and there kids.

I keep reading why aren't garlic or chilis listed...it keeps ringing in my ears that this is an article about spices, not vegetables, right? Even though we mostly use garlic and peppers as something to spice up a meal, they are actually vegetables, I think... :-) Happy meals everyone!

This piece of news item is no surprise to most curry eaters. People in the east have been using these culinary items and many more for centuries. If this news item was to appear in any thirld world press, it would hardly hold any value. East has a lot to offer the west if only not viewed with jaundiced vision.
