Whoa! 'have 5 or 6 nuts & some dental floss' geez, a little overboard at your bachelorette party, eh! sounds fun :) I've heard that you should also take laxitives and get a colonoscopy the week before, just for some proper cleansing of the system before you take the big plunge...and a few shots of yager, of course.

As I am about to get married, I appreciated the article. As to all the irrelevant comments, maybe they should be left to other forums where a related article is available so those who read the comments find them interesting.

No champagne at a wedding? What about everything else? The spinach salad may be tainted w/ bacteria! The chicken was probably pumped full of antibiotics! The cake is loaded with fat! Oh my goodness! Cancel the caterer and just serve triple filtered water!! And don't forget to remind the couple that their chances of making it to their 50th anniversary are pretty slim. Do you expect the bride to be a virgin too? Good thing you won't be at my wedding!

LOL! This is hysterical. And beachcottage24, did I get this right? Your sister is going "down", presumably to Hell, because she drinks? Oh-kay. Remember Jesus? He served wine.

Ummmm... I'm sorry, but did no one read the response by the poor girl who spent her wedding day peeing in an adult diaper juse because she drank too much coffee?!? I can't BELIEVE someone would actually spend their entire day smiling for the camera, sipping champagne and hugging inlaws... while simultaneously peeing in a diaper that they are wearing UNDER THEIR WEDDING DRESS - just because they drank too much coffee! I'm sorry...not trying to be judgemental here - i realize some people need to wear adult diapers (for real reasons other than drinking too much coffee - and this is nothing against them), but if you don't need to, and it's your wedding day.... ?? wow.

Okay that girl complaining about the 2-drink limit was kind of wrong because saying there is a 2-drink limit is not telling you to have 2 drinks! It's just saying that you can have up to 2, which inscludes 0. So just calm down, cindybin whatever.

i think this article is helpful especially to those women who wants to be engaged... some people here probably had some bad experiences with alcohol but don't be so judgmental.. everything taken in too much is bad for your health, and the article only suggest a glass or two,so chill out...

Some of you people are so idiotic. Most weddings serve booze. You're not better than anyone else just because you don't drink alcohol. It's your choice, but it's ridiculous to think people won't serve alcohol at a wedding and to get mad at the author for suggesting a 2 drink limit. Most women and men have drinks the night before to celebrate, so the author is writing for the MAJORITY. Most adults drink, whether it's wine or beer or something harder, at some time in their lives.

The day I got married, as final preparations were happening at the church, my mother sent someone out to wendy's to get me a frosty - and made me "drink" it with a straw. anyone who's had a frosty knows that's pretty difficult.... the act of focusing on getting any frosty through my straw helped me calm down, and it got a little bit of "food' into me to get me through the ceremony.

Great article and advice, from everyone. Just remember that everyone is different, just because this article make suggestions regarding alcohol consumption, doesn't mean that it's in any way condoning or encouraging the use of it. If you don't drink, then good for you. Just keep in mind that it's called "freedom of choice"... if you're over 21 and wanna have a drink, go for it. Use caution, moderation, common sense, and know your limits. Me personally, I'll have a drink or two the day before my wedding, and probably more than that at my reception. Why not, it's MY choice and noone else's!! :o) Grow up, people!

First, I would just to say that its really sad that an article about something so happy had to turn into this big discussion about your own opinions.. they are just that, YOUR OWN opinions... if you dont agree, oh well. With that B.S. out of the way... I just was in a wedding as the MOH and we ended up having the bachelorette party Friday night, then saturday me, the bride, and the bridesmaides went out for massages and manicures, and came back to a hotel room for the night and just relaxed, played some games, and called it a semi early night.... it worked perfectly! Congrats to all the brides!!

I do not drink any beverages with alcohol or caffeine. While reading the tips it was easy enough to leave out the parts that do not pertain to me. Actually, I have been married 51 years but I am printing and passing this along to a friend!! Mostly good advice. Thanks.
